For SmartVide Cooking type programs, the JANBY Track needs to be connected to a Sammic SmartVide.
Sammic's SmartVide 5, 7, 9 and X have Bluetooth communication and can communicate with the JANBY Track. To connect both machines, turn on your SmartVide and in the JANBY Track go to Settings > Connected devices. The SmartVides available for connection will appear listed there.
First time you connect your SmartVide to the JANBY Track, it will ask you for a SmartVide code to activate it.
This is a necessary step for the system to recognize the SmartVide and activate it on JANBY. Make sure that the tablet has Internet to do this step. The activation code is located on the label on the SmartVide and is made up of 10 characters and a hyphen: XXXXX-XXXXX. It is on both the features label and a square label containing a QR code.
Once the code has been entered into the tablet, it will not be necessary to enter it again and both the tablet and the cooker will be able to operate without having to be connected to the Internet. Please note that the license is renewed on a monthly basis, so at least once a month it is advisable to have the tablet connected to the Internet and turn on the SmartVides so that the licenses of all the machines can be updated.
If you do not have Internet for a while, if you have purchased your SmartVide on a subscription, the following message will remain on the screen.

If you have a subscription in which we provide you with SmartVide, it has to periodically connect to the tablet so that its license is verified.
Janby Track and SmartVides licenses are renewed on a monthly basis, so if they have not been connected to the Internet in a month, they will not have increased the license date. Follow the steps above to connect the SmartVide to a JANBY Track and make sure the tablet has an Internet connection. Once you have the JANBY Track connected to the Internet, turn on the SmartVide and it will renew its license by beeping when it receives the update.
